A Rum Ball..
We were discussing at the dinner table about how to eat Rum balls.
Jade was explaining about her method of eating Rum Balls
"Take a Rum ball in your hand just about half a hand's distance and downwards from your mouth. Keep the hand holding the Rum Ball touching just the starting portion of your belly and from there..just throw upwards in the direction towards your mouth and while throwing it upwards, also make sure that your mouth is open."
So we began thinking of scenarios of what might happen if the above steps are not followed accurately:
Scenario 1:
The Rum ball is thrown in the right direction towards the mouth but if you
forget to open your mouth, it will hit your lips or nose and fall on the ground..it might fall in your
lap if you are in sitting posture. In both cases, neither the Rum ball nor you have achieved the Goal. Feel no disappointment..! Try again.
Scenario 2:
- The Rum ball is thrown in the wrong direction, and to avoid the rum ball hitting all of your face, you just bend your head..and the Rum ball goes straight back.
Sub-scenario 2.1 : If suppose a person is sitting just behind you.. he is busy and has no clue/awareness about your Rum ball adventure. Something will hit him..he will look here and there...exasperated ..and if you are not looking at him (due to the Rum ball wrong-throw guilt). He will be very happy that nobody noticed him while something hit him and he will happily continue his work.
Sub-scenario 2.2 : A person is sitting just behind you..and he is yawning at the same time, the rum ball will go straight in his mouth and he will be taken by the surprise of what it was!.. that just went in his mouth. He might just hide it from the rest of the world around him.
You would not know how he reacts because obviously you would not be looking at him.
Sub-scenario 2.3 : A Rum ball is thrown in the wrong direction , to save yourself from the Rum ball hitting wrong places, you have bent your head..and no one is sitting behind you. The Rum Ball falls on the ground. You have missed it. You feel bad for some time and start your adventure with another Rum ball.
No one knows but you. And you are happy that no one ever noticed and you move on.
Scenario 3:
A Rum ball is thrown in the right direction and you open your mouth exactly when it reaches your mouth or much before that. No matter what, you are delighted by the taste of the rum ball in your mouth..probably your eyes will grow bigger and your mouth will resize to be a balloon..but you happily eat it and forget about the rest of the world.
Well..there are many more scenarios to evaluate but you know, we do not come across all the probable scenarios to any Event in life. Feel lucky and be happy about that fact!
So what matters the most is:
1. The right direction and 2. To be open all the time..!!!
